These trees were often growing near shrines, resulting in them being worshipped as sacred trees. The Suwa shrine uses this emblem.

Lightning

When there was lightning prior to the harvest of rice, many believed this to be the work of gods, and result in a good harvest.

Diabolo

Diabolos are traditional toys used since the Heian Period. Shaped like an hourglass, these toys were rolled, thrown and caught using strings.
