Mallow

This emblem is a pictorial representation of the mallow plant. Famous for being used as an emblem by the Tokugawa family. It is also used by the Kamo shrine in Kyoto.

Chigiri

Chigiri refers to the bobbin attached to a loom. It is a homophome to the word 'to vow', which has a celebratory undertone.
