Tachibana Orange
The tachibana orange is a small fruit which is extremely sour and not suitable for consumption. This emblem was first used by the imperial prince Tachibana no Moroe and his family. Also used by Ii of the Hikone domain.
Clove
Cloves are originally from the Maluku Islands. They also have a long history in Japan, and are even contained in the Shosoin treasure house. The emblem represents the bud.
