The heavenly bodies have often been the subject of worship, especially the Orion constellation. The moon and the star emblems are derived from this worship. This emblem is used by the Hosokawa family.

Tree peony are native to China. Used by the Kanpaku Konoe family, and had a huge influence. Many daimyo also used this emblem.
