Cloves are originally from the Maluku Islands. They also have a long history in Japan, and are even contained in the Shosoin treasure house. The emblem represents the bud.

Maple

This emblem is a pictorial representation of a maple leaf. This is not a very common emblem, possibly due to its connotation of falling.

This emblem is a pictorial representation of noshi. Noshi is a strip of dried abalone, but was later substituted with paper.
