Creeping Wood Sorrel

A pictorial representation of the Creeping Wood Sorrel. The leaf looks like a heart, and is favoured by women. It is commonly seen by families with a surname starting with Ta.

The origins of this emblem is unclear. It is said that the emblem represents the arm protector used by archers, or alternatively it is derived from a magatama which was used as a divine symbol.
